Computer is down for a while...

` ...at least until I can open the case. I've been told that its problems of unexpectedly shutting down momentarily may be caused by dust. However, I can't figure out how to get the case off to clean it. Seriously! I loosened one corner of it, but the rest just won't budge a millimeter!
` Thursday is the soonest I'll be able to get someone over to do this for me properly - in the past, my opening the case improperly has caused it to break, so I don't want to try that again! I can't even get anyone to coach me over the phone! It's ridiculous!
` So, here I am, sitting at a school computer before class. And why did I get to class so early? Because my Burgundy Rectangle's brake line has more holes in it (apparently they weren't all replaced from the last disaster) and it won't be fixed for another few days. Luckily, there's a handy bus stop nearby, though I have to leave an entire hour early.
` Anywho, life's been a drag with not being able to write more of my novel, 'CM' - or upload more photos for you guys! So, I apologize for any and all inconveniences that my inconvenience has caused.

hopefully that it is just an overheating issue caused by the cooling fan all mucked up with dust but more than likely at this point it could be somthing more serious. Good luck with figuring it out.

Oh wow I had that problem with my comp shutting down too and then it would reboot itself. It happened for about 3 months but hasn't happened for quite some time now *touch wood*.
It seems to have cured itself now :)

If you are not able to open your comp case, I'm sure there are colonies of sentient dust mites living there in any case. ;) Good luck making contact!

Your problem is more than likely caused by a heat issue. Denny is right when he says that your cooling fan is mucked up. It would be the cooling fan that is directly over the processor. I suggest that you remove that fan (probably four screws) and clean out the heatsink with an old toothbrush or something. 5 to 1 says that will eliminate your problem.

"CM" would be Cult Masterpiece, then?

` Seventy-eight dollars later, it turns out that it was probably just a Windows problem instead of a heat issue.

` Cult Masterpiece indeed! I would prefer mainstream... as long as I get followers!
