Pilchuck: Out from Hiding!
` Yes, the snow clouds have lifted this evening, revealing in all its pinkish glory; Mount Pilchuck!
` Yes, that's the 'little hill' I've scrambled to the top of... along with about three hundred other people that day.
` So, now you know my view of one mountain - until I move to my groovy new place, which I've already put in a deposit for.
` As a bonus, I have not resized the image, so clicking on it reveals a much-magnified view.
` Thankfully, being familiar with the LCD screen, I was not daunted by the fact that no mountain was distinguishable on my crappy digital camera (CDC), so I didn't grumble that it had been snowing.
` It's quite a nice bonus, I would say.
` Well, I really must be going - just thought I'd post that first!

Nice pic of the mountain. I was _sooo_ disappointed when I took a pic of Mt. Rainier(?) with my crappy Vivitar and it was so out of focus that the mountain simply disappeared into the horizon...
What's the new apartment like?
Bet you the snow will be gone within a week!
` Bet you it'll take two!
` You know, Monado, my own digital camera is a crappy Vivitar... I think I was just lucky this time.
` Man, I just got back from an all-day jaunt in Seattle... wish I'd taken it along!
` As for my new apartment, it's a really nice 10x16 room with a hardwood floor (which is good because I have a beautiful rug), with two windows and a shared kitchen and bathroom. Only $375 a month!
` Unfortunately, no laundry....
That view is really neat Spooony. How tall is that mountain?
` Not that high - only about 5,324 feet.
` When it's warm, you only really need to bring a sweatshirt for the summit. I didn't, unfortunately, but I found that a Coleman stove, a kettle, water and tea leaves really do the trick.
so are you in your new place, yet? i thought that was the view from your old place.....
i'm confused....
` Oh, right, I don't think I ever mentioned the fact that I'm moving on the 1st of February.
